Farm Support Ltd is Alfasan Uganda’s Ugandan joint venture partner and local representative for the Alfasan brand. It contributes local market knowledge and connects animal-health products with veterinary professionals and farmers.

01 / THE NEED

The challenge

Livestock keepers need reliable access to veterinary medicines as well as guidance on animal disease and responsible medicine use. Before local production, veterinary medicines were largely imported.

02 / OUR CONTRIBUTION

How Alfasan helped

Farm Support contributes its local presence, veterinary-product distribution experience and knowledge of the Ugandan market. Project records also describe its sales team informing farmers about disease analysis and correct use of medicines.

03 / THE PARTNERSHIP

How we work together

Farm Support works with Alfasan Nederland B.V., Cygnus B.V. and Qualivet B.V. through the Alfasan Uganda joint venture. Its local distribution and farmer-facing work complements the venture’s manufacturing activity.

04 / THE OUTCOME

Results and impact

The joint venture established and commissioned veterinary-pharmaceutical manufacturing in Uganda in 2016. Farm Support’s documented role links the venture to local distribution and farmer information; no unsupported reach or sales figures are included.
